Assessment of the effect of extracts on a nodovirus infection of sea bass

Abstract/Aim
To evaluate the efficacy of 5 extracts for the protection of sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) when submitted to an experimental infection with nodavirus. The sea bass will be distributed in 6 systems with triplicate, corresponding to the 5 treatments with a diet supplemented with the extracts and a control diet. They will be fed with the different diets for 56 days, after this period they will be subjected to a challenge with nodavirus in an immersion infection. Each of the diets will be controlled, in which the fish will suffer the same handling but will not be infected. Mortality will be recorded for 21 days after the infection.
