LIVE BAIT – Annelid polychaetes as live bait in Portugal: harvesting, import and rearing management
Abstract/Aim
The aim of this project is the development of Hediste diversicolor rearing technology (and of other species of polychaete annelids with commercial value), in the harvesting management, sustainable ecosystems and the impact of imports management view. Polychaete annelids are important species used as fishing bait and as food for marine reared species. The rearing technology can be easily entering the market, being beneficial for the sustainable development of the Portuguese aquaculture.
