PAS – Stalked barnacle and blackberry pate

Abstract/Aim
The project aims to contribute to the concept of circular economy, transforming a by-product into a resource of another economic activity. So, a value chain is created that justifies not wasting the resource through the implementation of new processes or the creation of new products, as the development of a new food product – pâté based on stalked barnacles with blackberry. The project will contributes to develop conditions leading to new companies targeting fishery resources in the West Region, promoting the valorisation of the stalked barnacles from Natural Reserve of Berlengas and providing a nutritional, functional and economic added value through an innovative and healthy product.
