PPS10 – New cardboard packages with unique properties for food contact and e-commerce (Packaging of the future® agenda)

This project aims to investigate, develop, and produce a versatile cardboard packaging with: anti-humidity; non-slip; resistant properties; new closing and sealing possibilities and easy opening; eco-friendly design for food contact; optimized for e-commerce and reuse. To achieve these goals, it will be applied new design and engineering parameters that will make it possible to respond to several important handicaps of carton packs: lower structural performance compared to plastic; the impossibility of using the same package for different package volumes; the ability to use the same package for send and if needed to return.
